Recent Q&A about STATES:
Q: Players who qualify for South Carolina Combo Doubles State League Championships may advance on more than one team per League Type (18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over, 65 & Over) at different levels in the 2013 Combo Doubles League State Championships, but they may advance to the Sectional Championships on no more than one 18 & Over, one 40 & Over and one 55 & Over team.
A: This means that players may advance to state championships on as many teams as they are eligible for, but only one per Age/Level (e.g., can’t advance on two 40+ 7.5 teams from different local leagues. For sectional championships, you may only advance on one team per Age).
Q: South Carolina Combo Doubles State Championships are scheduled for Oct. 17-21, 2013 Location: Hilton Head, SC, when will my team play?
A: This means the state may schedule you to play on these dates. The referee makes the draws two weeks before championships, and then they are published the weekend before. There are no hints given about anything other than court surface until the referee has completed the draws, and they are checked over by the State League Coordinator. Days of play are determined based on the number of teams and court availability. Last year, the 18+ men group play was Sat-Sun, and 18+ women Fri-Sat.
